Chapter 3 things to notice

These notices work better later don't they? She goes to the future and it is pretty perfect. Don't judge how realistic it is.

Chapter 3: The Future

Chapter 3: The Future
It was a whole new world when I woke. I found myself in a field; I was standing and looking about. I blinked. I found my time machine lying beside me. A year feature was added, it said 2111. I looked around me.
Beside me there was a forest full of lush trees. Birds, new types of birds were singing. Pigs can fly in 2111 due to the ability to mutate unlike ever before. Of course, old birds and animals were in the forest too.
To my sides were fields. Horses, pegasui, cattle, normal pigs, but mainly horses roamed the fields. That wasn’t important. There were many horses though.
To my direct front a humble small town bustled. It was quite quaint. There were a plethora of small shops, all of which seemed to have good business. I didn’t quite get a good look at the people.
I started for town.  Out of nowhere, literally this guy comes up.
“Hello.”
“Hello. Where am I?” I asked.
He smiled. He looked at my time machine. “Ah, I see you are from the past?” He asked.
I nodded “2011.”
“Oh a horrible time for jobs, correct? We revere that as a horrible time. Now this is 2111. You missed a ton of history. Oh, I forgot, before I fill you in, my name is… Oh that isn’t important. What is important is yours."
“My name is Rosie Thomas.” I responded.
His jaw dropped a bit. “You are Rosie Thomas? My god you are the first girl to ever figure this (he pointed to my time machine) out and tell someone about it who cares. You invented the time machine.”
“Well, yeah.”
“It got slightly updated in transit.”
 “I can see.” I responded.
He told me “I am a whole history buff so I want to know everything about you.”
“I hate Justin Bieber. Does he hold any sort of legacy here?”
“Only the hairstyle held up. He is remembered like MC Hammer, for the look and one song.”
“How do you know about MC Hammer?”
 “History buff, remember?”
“That is really cool.” I responded.
He smiled “I always wondered, when you do this, are you single?”
“Yeah, of course. Only when pigs fly I’ll get a boyfriend.” I responded.
He laughed.  A flying pig crash-landed next to his foot. Wow, canvas shoes never will go out of style.
The pig got on his feet. “I’m still getting down landing.”
“True. You’ll get there eventually Snowball.” The guy responded. He said, “This is Snowball. He is a pig. Well, my flying pig.”
I smiled. “Hmm…. Then Mr. Right should be coming soon…” He laughed. I loved his laugh, so sweet and gentle.
I snapped out of it. “So, will you fill me in, tell me who you are or give me a tour?”
“My name is Mason. I am a nice guy. I love history, studying, reading, and taking care of Snowball.” He responded. He looked into my hazel eyes, forcing me to stare into his deep dark brown eyes. “There are no more hazel eyes left. The only eye color left is brown.”
“It is a dominant eye color.” I countered. “Other than that, what happened?” “The world went to war over the last bits of oil. They needed to raise the economy and it was the only way.”
“So how did it get so nice?”
“All of our guns, tasers and weapons of most sorts were burned. That was how it got so peaceful. Democrats and Republicans found it wasn’t worth it and FOX News was put off the air, it was wonderful. Now we live in a wonderful society, as you can see.”
“What about the population issue?”
“Now they occupy Moon Street, eh, eh?” He responded jokingly.
I laughed. “Back in my century it is normally changed to rhyme with Wall Street.”
“I know, just… I know it’s lame.”
“But cute.”
“Lame but cute. Okay!!” He responded laughing.
I swear, his laugh was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. He was like Weena in the Time Machine. He made the overall feel better and more light and cheery. He was a nerd or a geek and I loved it.
He smiled “Also all those big corporations that took away from individuals were for the most part torn away. So now every town is like a small town.”
“Oo, I like that.” I responded, with a smile “I would like to go into town.”
He took my hand and led me to the gate. “I enjoy how much you are… Oh I just adore your work!”
“What, my time machine?”
“Not just that. You invent so many other things like for example you create the invention that makes pigs fly.”
“Cool!” I exclaimed.
He smiled “I don’t want to ruin your life by telling you what you’ll do.”
“Okay.” I responded.
Mason asked, “Do you want to see our city?” “Yes!” I exclaimed.
Before I continue, you must have a mental image of Mason. He has brown hair I can tell he is tan. Naturally or from sitting in the sun was debatable. As I said before he has deep, dark brown eyes that I can peer into his soul with. He also has a muscular body type. Not a buff figure, but muscular. He had a sweet, honest smile, of an all-around good guy.

Chapter 2: Journey to the Future

Chapter 2: Journey to the Future
I grasped the knob on the machine and turned it right. I had to. The fate of science depended on it. I had to be the first sixteen-year-old to go to the future. Well any human in general I’d beat to the future. The opportunity was too good to pass up.
The actual experience of time travelling was unlike any other. First, every machine around me that normally could work without my help, worked faster than normal. My clock spun faster than the speed of light. My radio played Baby (Justin Bieber) extremely quickly. That sounded like Alvin and the Chipmunks. Only worse!!! My A/C turned way up. I was so cold I was shivering. Every machine was overworking itself. My Bunsen burners looked like torches the way they were overworking themselves. The lights were extremely bright. Every mechanical device overworked itself.
Next, my sinks started turning on and giving out this hot bubbly water. All of my precious chemicals were bubbling from their beakers and graduated cylinders. A glass of water I had in the lab started bubbling, even if it was in a food item or bottles of Powerade. I had no idea how they could do that when the room was so freezing.
If everything together then didn’t drive me insane, when every solid thing starts to melt, it gets even worse. It started with the small things, beakers, graduated cylinders, cups, test tubes, papers, books, pens and pencils. Then the desks and cabinets melted. Once they were fully melted, that left this goo of that color on the floor. Then the walls melted away. I had no idea how all that could’ve happened. I was shoulder deep in goop.
The goop together was baby barf green. That stuff was gross, it was slimy like a frog. It felt like a piece of apple in gelatin. I wasn’t suspended by it, but it was gross. My head was skillfully above the gross stuff. It held me in place.
The goop solidified. Just thinking back on how it felt… It felt like mud was all over my body (well at least I hoped it was mud solidifying all onto my clothing and skin).
It finally turned solid and I broke free. The world was dark, still in my lab, and everything was underlined in a lighter black.
Then, all that whipped all over, left, right, up, down. Everything in my lab was flying all over me. I skillfully ducked everything. It was mayhem! The whole scene then exploded.
Everything was pure black darkness. Then I felt shorter. I could tell since there seemed to be more darkness. I had shrunk at least a foot. Then I shrunk two feet. Then I shrunk and shrunk until I was a centimeter tall. I didn’t do this; I guess that is how someone passes into the Time-Space Continuum.
The huge vortex came. So huge, even if I were normal size, it would be gargantuan! I was staring into my supposed death. I ran away as it sucked up the darkness, but I couldn’t resist too much longer, I also tripped. Struggling to get back up, the vortex took advantage. It came full force, right at me, swallowing me whole.

Chapter 2 things to recognize

It is going to be extremely trippy. Weird stuff happens when you are pass through the Space Time Continuum. So except that and a reference to the song Baby, you should be good.

Chapter 1- Invention (from The Time Machine Story)

Chapter 1: Invention
I always dreamed of what the future was going to be like. Not particularly as I was still alive, but eventually. I always loved the idea of time travel, especially when I could.
It was a normal summer day, and my half sister; Gwen was sitting on the couch, snuggled up with her laptop, half reading a fan fiction online and half watching a crappy Disney movie or romantic comedy. My half brother Max was watching Top Gear on the other TV and texting his friends who all lived in Massachusetts. Our golden retriever, Zoe had her wet nose pressed against our sliding glass door. I wasn’t playing on Facebook or watching a trillion Klaine videos on YouTube, like I sometimes would. No, I was doing something more important.
I had a plan, a secret plan since the beginning of that summer to become a total nerd. As I really got into science and math (beforehand, I was a literature leech, H.G. Wells all the way) I found out where previous theories could be easily foiled. My logic grew and I easily became an egghead. I became more interested in doing my own experiments. I obviously was working on secret projects, namely a time machine.
I walked into my room. I opened up my closet. I walked in, it wasn’t a walk-in closet, but I had a button on the right side of my closet, behind all of my clothes. I pressed the button. It triggers a slide to my subterranean liar. Of course a mattress is at the end, or that would hurt! I then got my lab coat and gloves on. Yes, I am beautiful, smart and safe! Rosie Thomas is quite the catch! (I’m her.) I continued on my project. I was working on a time machine to travel forward in time. Partially, I wanted to see how long I have to put up with this Bieber crap and if he has a legacy. The other part, I was just curious.
I started with a couple melded pieces of metal, with a clock to turn forward or backward, depending on whether you wanted to go forward or backward in time. I was still working out all the machine parts. It had to have a connection to the fourth dimension. Which I found could be helped by Wi-Fi.
I heard footsteps above me. I ran up my spiral staircase (by the way, I can afford all of this easily by only telling my grandparents who forget later). I darted onto my bed and picked up The Time Machine (the closest book I could find) and began reading. Gwen came in “I just came in to check you were still breathing.” “Yes! But I am at the epic art!” I exclaimed. Gwen asked “Which part?” “The part where the Time Traveller is actually going even more into the future, past the Eloi and the Morlocks and he meets the giant crab,” I responded. Gwen asked “That is epic to you?” “Yes.” I responded. She rolled her eyes and went back to watch Down With Love or Moulin Rouge. I could hear Ewan Mc Gregor either way. Catcher Block or Christian I couldn’t quite tell.
I finished the book off, and then I heard a knock. In the back of my head, I knew it was Max. I opened the door, “I want to work on my war ship outside (made out of Kinects he forgot to mention) in the pool and I need someone to distract Zoe.” “I’m busy. I’m… rereading my summer reading.” I responded. I know it really doesn’t sound like it, but Max is twenty-one. Zoe is our dog.
Making sure the door was shut; I sunk into my subterranean lab. I connected the final wires. The machine buzzed. The hour hand sped like a second hand on the clock on the machine. I did it.

Here it is!!!!!

I'm sorry for the wait, but the post right above this one, should be chapter one! (triumphant music) Make sure to give me feedback, whoever's listening....

Some basic things to know

Ok, so first, my first story I will post is loosely based off of H.G. Wells' "The Time Machine". So throughout the story there are many references. In this case, if you haven't read the book or need a refresher, use SparkNotes or something like that (I recommend Wikipedia).
Second, if you are part of my lovely family, there are some references to you, but as a general rule, the parents I give my character are nothing like my real parents. Gwen is similar to my sister, Jenn. Max is similar to my brother Matt, but I can still change it around.
This next one goes for everyone CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Don't hurt me just to hurt me. If you do need to tell me I suck, say it nicely, please.
And lastly, enjoy it or try.

Hi!!!

Okay, so my first blog, and blog post for that matter. It was a mixture of so many people telling me I write well and my sister having a blog that made me feel like I needed one. I normally write romances, so all you love haters take a hike! I am still getting started. The only hint to my age is that I am still in high school. So I feel like I am rambling.... I will post the first chapter of the story I am working on either tonight or over the weekend. I just love writing and In want to share it with random people.
